The Abbey was built on the foundation of the original Fort Augustus and you can still see a portion of it today!
We can't say for certain that you will see Nessie, but there ARE for certain eels with giant round mouths full of teeth that live on the bottom of the lake! Eeeeeeeek!
In fact, loads of eel DNA have been found in Loch Ness and baby eels can often be found.
Might Nessie be an eel?
Yes!

You bet!
It is a real lake in Scotland and it holds more water than all the lakes and rivers in England and Scotland combined!
Even though the water is crystal clear, you may not want to jump in.
It can get down to an icy 5 degrees in winter!
